J.J. Abrams, is the third instalment in the rebooted film series. In this new teaser, we see the Enterprise ripped to shreds after being attacked by a slew of alien hostile ships.
Captain Kirk, played by
Chris Pine, and his crew are left marooned on a faraway planet.

It's been an exciting week for Star Trek fans. Just a couple days ago the first trailer surfaced for a new Star Trek show from producer Bryan Fuller, which will return the series to television by 2017.
Star Trek Beyond hits theaters July 22.
